At the moment i have XFX ATI Radeon HD 4870 XXX 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card. by two in crossfire.
Would it be worth changing to two XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card in crossfire, for DirctX 11.
I cant afford to buy 5800 series at the moment.
Or would i not see a big improvement, to warrant spending the money at the moment, & waiting for the 5800 to come down in price.

One 5850 at £240~

is the same price as 2 5770s at £120

If you can afford 2 5770s you can afford 1 5850.

If you want DX11 and a 5 series, get one 5850 now and get a second when they drop in price.

Performance wise, there's no benefit to "upgrade" to either though.

If you're itching for a 5 series and DX11, I'd say a 5850 with another one in the future, otherwise it's not worth it.

Do you have 2 4870's in crossfire now? (it's early and I'm not quite awake yet :o)
If so, you are probably better off waiting till you can afford 2 5850's for any significant gains

I can not see any real improvement upgrading now. I am thinking the cost of the 5 series is going to drop faster than the depreciation on your 4870s so unless you need a slght boost I would not bother.

Yeah got a sale on, 5870's and 5770's at cracking prices to, and im not surprised those 5970's sold out either, these guys are getting slaughtered :D
