New Case Choices

Morning all,

I'm about to order a custom-build, but the one element I'm struggling to decide is which case to purchase. I've narrowed it down to four options:

The Panzer is my prime choice, but I was slightly concerned by dust build-up with it being so heavily meshed.

Anyone able to offer their thoughts on those cases, or have a build with them?

£95 for an acrylic window? No. They now have the Fractal Define C with Tempered Glass for the same money.

That would probably get my vote, or the P400S, which I have myself and is a very nice case. Much better in the flesh than I thought it would be from photos. For the price not much can touch it, although that Antec P8 is a very good shout if you're on a tight budget.

OP, you have a mix of cases with and without optical bays... do you NEED one or not? It's hardly a necessity in new builds today unless you have a very specific use case for one.

What do you want the case to give? - Looks, silence, airflow?

Thanks for the replies guys.

@southernorth - airflow mainly, and if it looks smart all the better (hence I was quite tempted by the Panzer). Noise volume less important to me.

@Legend - optical bay is not a necessity. Useful to have one for copying over old CDs on occasion, but not even a minor factor in this scenario.

For airflow (put 2x140mm fans in the front):

But if you can't stray from your original list of 4, get the Panzer but make sure to put some fans in the front - 2x140mm ideally. Should have very good airflow then.

If you want Airflow as a priority get a Corsair 740 Air
