New case, for the "now and".............

Personally i don't think either case is worth much more than £70 both decent but both with little niggles.
The biggest gripe with my eclipse is having to take both side panels off to get the front off to clean the front intake filter.I almost bought the 182 before this case what put me off was the need to buy extender cables for the 24 pin and 4 pin 12v leads and the apparent flimsy door and lack of width as future heatsinks may get bigger and bigger. It is very true that i like most others find the eclipse's front completely out keeping with the quality of the rest of the case.

I sorely regret not getting a Silverstone case, the LC-11 I bought for my HTPC is very well built, but them being twice as much as the equivalent "other brand" case does kind of sway the decision making process.

Right, I am building a new rig and having fallen foul a couple of years ago for a Thermalcrap case:p which is not big enough and lets face it is poor quality, I am now looking for a fair sized case, around £100 mark that will last me a few years and house this little lot:
Sounds exactly like my position! I also fell foul of a Thermalcrap case about three years ago! :p
Never buying an ultra-thin aluminium case again, it's so fragile, so thin, and it rattles and vibrates horribly.

I'm currently looking at the Antec P182, 14kg of pure solid steel! :)
I wish it was slightly bigger and flatter on top. I like flat-top cases, I can use it as a shelf for my scanner etc.

One thing I don't like about the P182 is the lower-compartment fan position, it's going to foul with the PSU cables and I want good airflow over my HDDs. I also wish the lower HDD compartment had space for six drives. Maybe I can fit an ultra-slim fan in there.

Yees, the p182 cable management is v nice, mines actually improved a fair bit since then too, as it was taken the day after build, so hadn't got over excitement enough to tidy.
(things internally have been corrected aswell, don't mention the tuniq fan lol)
Its a rather nice case, although i felt the dust filter in the top area wasn't doing much as didn't have a fan there. So ive stuck the filter over the input fan at the top now, much better dust removal.

Could put the hard drives in the middle slide out draw and put a fan infront of that instead ? Although i find the fans far enough from the cables.

Imo if it can fit a tuniq 120 in, it can fit most heatsinks for a goodwhile yet. The door's the only thing that worrys me, although it seems sturdy enough now when the second hinge is opened (so the door's plush with the case) it feels like the plastic stopper thing is slowly being rubbed away, leaving it rubbish in a few years. Oh, that and the fact its a finger print magnet, more fingerprints than a police database at the moment.
