Hey guys im looking at getting a new case and watercooling for my build. i cant do water in my current case because i had to go getto (more about that later) but yes i was hoping you guys could give me a idea for a nice to look at/ high performance case however it needs to be a XL-ATX for my g1 assassin to fit. when i bought my new build i ordered my motherboard and case (nzxt phantom) from the same place and the store sold the phantom as a XL-ATX case..... and it clearly wasn't and i didn't have the patience of sending it back because at the time i only had 2 weeks to work on my new machine so i couldn't really cool very well and even had to do a external PSU mount... not nice at all this also made my cable management obviously very bad. so i want a roomy case with room for a XL - ATX hope you guys can help, i look forward to uploading my watercooled pc pics to the case gallery :D
 
Would you happen to know if this case can hold like a big rad like quad 120 ( im new to water cooling ) im taking it the bigger rad and more fans = better performance :P im probly going to be asking on here for what would be the best water cooling kit aswell :D id love custom but i wouldent trust myself on mixing and matching parts like compression fittings and tube diameters ( confuses me atm ) but on the other hand, i dont really want one of those all in one h(number) series from corsair i think they lack aesthetics
 
What do you guys thing about the Areocool Xpredator black and green version think that would look pretty sleek with my motherboard
 
Ah thats a shame im really interested in the asthetics aswell i dont find the cases ive looked at to be very visualy pleasing and most dont have a window to see my system that would be a nice feature and systemerror that case it to small :) it wont fit my motherboard
 
Yeah that would be seriously usefull would make a great addition to the site i know the haf X would fit and is good for air cooling but how is it for water :D im assuming it must be decent its pretty popular
 
The assassin is XL atx :P good sir the phantom is a EATX case the guy sold it as a XL case but its not lol and my mobo is to big, had to go getto mounting it
 
Woden it may be huge but its not quite huge enough :) when i get the change il upload pics of how horribly i had to work my case into a E-atx case its horrid i cant wait to get it sorted out
 
Yeah thats the only problem ive had with my board, finding a good looking case that actualy fits it, i wish the phantom was a couple inch taller haha the way ive had to go getto i cant even fit another gpu into it........ so unfair D: oh well im sure i will find something i was going to get the haf x but im still not to sure about how well it works for watercooling
 
as soon as i get the new case and water cooling set up i will get some pics and footage of the transformation from this to the other
 
doesnt fit the board good sir the TJ11 fits however i dont really want to spend 400 on a case i know its a good case however i dont think its a reasonable price
 
Yeah but its kind of out of my price range and at the min im not really looking for hard modding to much my current case now cant fit a powersuply whilst housing my motherboard and its the same size as the tj07 :) so i just want a case that fits the motherboard nicely from the let go :)
 
thats the one ive been thinking of getting, remembering this is for water cooling and i cant find details about how well it is for water :) i was wanting to use this kit

as its my first time water cooling. im not sure of the comparability of this kit with the case

Edit - im also really keen for aesthetics thats why im kind of picky about this i really want a great looking machine something i can show in the case gallery

500 is quite over on my price and is that 2 reservoirs for just cpu ? that would be crazy performance would this be a lot better performance than the rs360? and i was a little concerned about the size of the rads there quite small arent they
 
i would like to add gpus to the loop but not at present id rather wait untill im sli till i water my 580 seems pretty cool already will be fine for now :D also could you recomend a 580 water block? like i say this is the first ive ever attempted water if i get that entire set minus the gpu block- how would it best be run like what order do i need to be putting the water through for example res-pump-rad-rad-cpu-res or would it be better having it in a different configuration or would it not make a difference
 
Nickel Plexi aswell haha thats nice none of that horrible copper rust stuff right? thanks for the loop build il look into buying that when i get paid on tuesday the only problem is that with the case aswell is deffinately out of my range for now il have to see what i can do though because that loop you made i am trusting is a very good loop seeing as its from you :D
 
My main problem with the shinobi is theres no window on it and how big exactly is the elysium because i dont really want something the same size as me and ok so 5 fans not 4 :) gotcha
 
I aint your average male il take a look anyway i think it looks quite nice wouldent say the nicest case but i atleast it has a window :D id use the haf X but could i fit that loop inside it?
 
I see im unsure what case to get still now i mean the el looks nice but im not to sure of the screws all over it haha but i like the fact of the window and maby that its easier to work with would you say its more pleasing when you get water into it :P?
