I built a computer for my boss:

amd 635,
kingston 4gb (2x2) 800mhz,
Sammy 1TB HDD,
Gigabyte MA-78LM-S2 Mobo.

With win 7 64bit ult.

The printer is not working with this machine, it's an Epson Stylus DX8450.
Whenever I try to print something, i just get an error, no error number or referance
to what the error might be.

It was working fine yesterday, and my boss said he used it to photocopy
something around 2 hours ago. There's ink and paper in the printer, latest drivers
installed. Really don't know anything about printers, and these ones seem to get
tonnes of problems if you just google it.

Possible fixes are welcome - quick replies greatly appreciated!

Done that, anything else I should try?

*edit* Is it possible that it is physically damaged? Everybody claims they haven't touched it, though it was definitely working yesterday.
I wouldn't know what I was looking for to check if it was damaged..

Just did a scan with the Epson utility, it said there was a connections error.

1) Check the USB Cable is plugged in securely at both ends.
2) Replace it with another is you have a spare.
3) check Printer is powered on properly.
4) Disconnect Printer, Delete Printer, and reinstall the printer via auto Win7 install.

5) (*Possible winner*) Go into Printer Properties, Ports, and make sure that the USB Port is selected, and not something like COM1/LPT1/TCP/IP Port. Happened to me too many times where Windows is using the wrong port to talk to a printer.
