We're looking to replace our current 'vacuum' - a bissell Air Ram - its not really a vacuum cleaner, more of a powered sweeper but its done a good job with the dyson v6 on backup. The Bissell is dying and being over 10 years old is now ready for the skip in the sky. My partner has weak hands and doesn't want to tow around a unit on wheels like a trailer so require an upright so the weights at the bottom rather than at the hand and not trigger based as this hurts her hands. Ideally looking for one with additional batteries so that we can keep on charge and swap when needed.
The market has very much shifted to the stick based with the weight at the top so I thought I'd seek the collective wisdom of the forum if there where any ideas? I'm based in New Zealand these days so supply is more limited but I can deal with that via family in the UK if I needed to... just trying to get a handle on what is actually out there!
