So my mobo blew on my AMD 64 system, so i figured i'd upgrade instead of replace.

Looking at CPU, Mobo and RAM.
Not a great budget, but i know i'd like the E6400, just need ram and mobo to fit it well (and be good with slight overclocking).

Anyone give me a hand as to what i should be buying? Any extra HSF's or coolers i need? Cheers

Budget's about £300-400, maybe stretch it a little father if worth it. But i have the case, psu, gfx, hard drives etc etc, just need the main bits listed. I won't go extreme on overclocking, but i will do some to speed up the system.

Erm, what?

He means was the bord that blew AM2 or 939 , so we know if RAM will be a problem ? AM2 Uses DDR2 so it wouldnt need replacing if it was , and we all know 939 uses ddr ect ect

Rgds,

The mobo that blew was skt 939, hence i'm going to need some different RAM.

I was thinking this combo,

C2D E6400
Asus P5W Deluxe mobo - is there much difference between this and the P5N?
GeiL PC6400 (2x512mb) Ultra Low Latency RAM

is 1GB enough?
Would my current Antec TruePower 430W PSU handle this, or would that need an upgrade too?
