New Corsair 900D Build, first WC attempt, assistance would be appreciated!

Well I'm not too sure, but I'm ordering my water cooling fittings at the same time as my mobo cpu and ram. I'd rather just fit everything in one go too

Hmm, that's kind of where I'm at. I just got my mobo and ram yesterday... Normally i would be chomping at the bit to build this thing, but now i'm in the WC mode i'm a little unsure of myself, like I've lost my confidence or something. Weird.

I totally understand Evil-i's point about the gpu, and testing before I pull the stock cooler off though... I'm just thinking out loud really, well in type ;)

It really would be a good idea to test it first. Do it outside of the case if you want.

How gutted would you be if you had to dismantle half/all your loop if it turns out that something doesn't work?

I know your right, I'll breadboard tomorrow.

I think I'm being a little over-cautious with putting the stock cooler on, then having to remove it after and clean a brand new cpu before I put the waterblock on.

or just lazy.

Personally I would have paid the little extra for the Liang DDC with variable control (think its the swiftech or something).

Also might want to know whilst distilled sounds like a good idea - I'd recommend reading the warranty on the EK waterblocks. I used to use distilled for a while until I seen they had changed their warranty to indicate they only recommend their own EK coolant - since which I've switched to that stuff.

Never been one for coloured fluids as just like you've researched it clouds etc - so I've just gone for coloured tubing aswell.

enjoy - plan it carefully as you'll find you need extra bits here and there once you start setting it up! (i.e. angled fittings etc)

Well, I am about to purchase the latest Laing DDC pump (ultra 900lph), and I have to admit I am still undecided with the fluid. So this information regarding EK's warranty is great info indeed.

I was about to ask for a recommendation regarding fluid anyway, as bar this and the rad, are the last main bits I need. As I have EK waterblocks perhaps I should just stick with their fluid.

I know a lot of people use Mayhems x1, I'm still lost with making a decision about whether I go coloured tubing or not... I really want that UV look. Ive purchased the Photon Res so I could go DI and light that up with coloured tubing. ... seems I'm repeating myself... i apologise. :s

Recommendations on a Quad radiator?

Wanted a Thermochill TA 120.4, but they're either out of stock, or fallen of the face of the planet. Need some options!

There are always the alphacool series of 480mm rads, they have the added advantage of a ppate that stops you screwing the mounting screws in too deep and damaging the rad.

Phobya G-Changer 480 V2 Full Copper its almost the same as the Alphacool apart from having 2 less ports and its cheaper got 2 for my build.
