**NEW CORSAIR ML MAGNETIC LEVITATION FANS**

I wanted to know your personal opinion not a graph. Are they really quiet for you?

They are 2400 RPM fans, at full speed they are not going to be quiet. Slow them down to 1800 RPM and below, and they were pleasant to my ears inside a closed case 2 feet away. Use PWM control here, under voltage control lower than 8 V or so the magnetic levitation doesn't work as well as at 12V and you may hear bearing noises. No such problem with PWM control.

I am going to use these fans in my HTPC build at 1500 RPM or so. I have a luxury of fans here so choice wasn't a factor. These are just that good imo.

I would use a fan controller which controls fans in volts. I wonder if Corsair Link can control these ML fans? I have a Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 7 board and it's rubbish for controlling fans through motherboard.

If you have the Corsair Link Commander, it should be fine. I know what you mean about the Gigabyte board, my z97 Gigabyte has one PWM header only and the rest are voltage control.

Been running 2 of the ML140's on my H115i for a couple days now. Corsair Link controls them fine. They certainly are loud at full pelt though, so I run them at around 1300-1500 and they're quiet enough for me. I have headphones on the majority of the time though so the sound doesn't particularly bother me.

Received my fans on Saturday. They are not the pro ones with changing corners. But I made some changes to the fans in my case nonetheless. I use a Zalman H1 full tower case.

I took out the two Zalman fans that came with the case and replaced them with my Corsair H100i GTX AIO cooler fans. I also removed the AMD 295x2 fan from the rad along with the 3rd Zalman fan from the rear of the case and replaced these with the ML120's. I decided to put them in a push pull config blowing air out of the case.

At the same time, I used one of the 3 Zalman fans on the bottom of the case sucking air in. And the case has a 200mm fan at the front sucking air in as well. So the air comes in from the front and bottom and goes out at the back and at the top of the case.

The beauty of this case is it has what's known as AHV (automatic heat ventilation). Bascially, if the interior of the case reaches a certain temp (I can choose between 35 or 45 degrees), the top of the case opens up automatically. This allow the heat to dissipate further.

After the changing of fans over the weekend, I tested the machine out. First of all, using Corsair Link, I set the fans on the rad for the CPU to run quiet and I used the MSI Command Centre to set the rest of the fans in the case to quiet as well. They were all spinning between 600RPM to 1500RPM.

I played almost 2 hours of Need For Speed and during this time, the fans sped up, but the case temp didn't even reach 28 degrees. I checked the temps for the CPU and the GPU, whilst gaming. CPU was hovering around 40C and GPU over 60C. I was quite pleased with this. Eventually, when I stopped gaming, the fans began to wind down.

So I am pleased with the ML120's. Finger's crossed my GPU doesn't cause a black screen issue like it used to as time goes on and these fans really do the job!

Hi,

Even more bad news for anybody who has ordered the Blue 120 Fans and the White 120 Fans Corsair are shipping out today so delivery is expected week commencing the 24th. Apologies again Corsair are not doing to well with this launch.

Happy days, just got notification that my 2 white 120's have shipped.
The rattle from the standard fans on my swiftech h220x has been getting progressively worse, so a very welcome email!
