Vorderman has been terrible on Countdown in recent years. Some new blood is definitely required.

I know two people with degrees in Maths from Cambridge. One is a software developer and one is a teacher.

I doubt the majority of Cambridge maths grads are still using the advanced maths they learnt at university.
