New CPU Cooler

I need some help choosing a new cpu cooler for me Q6600, i am on the stock intel one atm and i dont like the fact my cpu is on 50 whilst idle. I am willing to spend anything up to £100 on cooling whether this be a cheap water cooling kit or an air cooler. I am looking to overclock it too in the future

Tuniq Tower, or Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme with a decent 120mm fan if it'll fit in your case.

Yeah it will fit i had a tuniq tower before, kinda lost the bracket and screws though =[

TRUE and something like a sharkoon silent eagle 2000 would be a nice combo, or one of the yateloons

i am thinking about getting a zalman reserator, as it looks like one of the most effective and simple options of water cooling for me to setup

The Reserator is more for silence than overclocking.

Even if you're running the Q6600 at stock speed and only want silence, a decent standard water loop with low speed fans would probably be a wiser choice.
