New CPU or What??

Hi All

Due to the credit crunch I have been forced to reduce my updrade budget down from the usual £200 to a mear £50 this year.

I am currently running a E2180 on an ASRock 4Dual Core SATA with 2 x 1gb Giel Ram DDR2.

I would like to upgrade the CPU to an E5200 but the MB is running the wrong bios and Im not confident enough to go playing with the bios upgrade.

I dont play games but I do watch and burn a lot of DVD's and AVI's. The PC is ok but does not handle multitasking well.

Any recomendations that would be doable at £50'ish??

What graphics card do you have? If it isn't AGP then you may wish to consider swapping to a different motherboard and seeing how far you can overclock your E2180.

i agree mild overclock is the best option

£50 isnt much to work with, better to save up and overclock your current in the meantime.

If the "Credit Crunch" is effecting you that much then I'd put it off completely.
