new cpu wont boot

First of all the edit button is your friend. Secondly that sound very much like a dead chip but to check you could try the usual methods of fault finding. Start off with the minimum required to boot (so 1 stick ram, processor, graphics card, no hard drive. If that fails to post and you know all the other components are good then you have your prognosis right there. The only other thing that I can think of that might be your problem is perhaps the PSU might not be up to scratch? Just a thought which will probably be wrong :s

i have a seasonic 600 w

i have unplugged all devices took 1 stick of ram out and it started up,i got into the bios, everything is on auto and is the correct speed, however when it trys to load windows it says.

i triied this but it starts to read my windows cd and freezes before i get any options?

E8200 is 333FSB default so perhaps your ram settings are funky. Double check they are running at suitable speeds, voltages, and timings.

i have now swapped back to my e2180 to see if i can repair my windows from the cd without it freezing

Thanks for all your help

my ram is oc value 1066 2 x 1 gb

i still got the corrupt message with my old cpu but i have got to the menu to choose repair.

it has asked for the admin password, i have just hit enter as i have not set one?
