Im a oldskool gamer and have purchased the steam css pack , i enjoy the game but i wish to get good and get within a team, where am i best to start looking and how do i get going.

haha, i do indeed man, problem being im having to find somthing to sap up some time as fuel is killing me :(.
Still glad i wasted most of my teens playing ut as it made me the person i am today :P.

Ive been playing a lot of xbox live but it just anoys me that no matter how many friends etc i have on there i still dont think i have ever managed a team based game that went well.

Spec-ops is the way forwards, wheres lithium now days!
 
Probably still in Ireland getting high! If you want something to get good at and sap up all your time, forget CSS..... Modern Warefare 2 is where it's at! Play COD4 until it comes out.
 
meh dont listen to these clueless noobs, dont start ED (enemy down) its terrible and for noobs. ESL/SGL Is the place an d just mix to start off
 
find a well admined 20man or 16man server.

large servers SUCK, seriously. Youll get to know the regulars on a smaller server and have a laugh as you play more, they'll give tips and generally help. If its a claned server youll probably end up joining them or something and go from there :)
 
cheers guys, cant play cod 4 alex, on on xbox or ps3 as im still using the same pc i built all them many moons ago. 2500+ and 9800 pro, done me damn well though and the inside of the case is fulll of dust.

Is that a pcie card or 8x agp alex? you will have to bear with me a little as ive been hiding under a rock.
Also how does it compare to the 9800pro's
 
If you wish to get good, I would suggest playing deathmatch a lot to practice or warmup. As for team games there are a few mix ventrilo channels you can join and get a few games, also enemydown has a recruitment page where you can search for clans and also advertise yourself.
 
Well i run a really successful CSS clan, however we are an 18+ invite only clan to keep out the rubbish, meaning before you can join us you'll need to play on our server and use in game comms. We are registered in ED and have around 25 very active members 95 registered members.

Our server is pretty much always full and and we have HLstats premium running. So by all means come check us out, we’re always looking for down to earth good guys regaurdless of skill level.

We also have in clan war's most nites mixed in with practise.
