New desk needed

I was going to get the Fredde desk, but after seeing this i'm not so sure. Which would be better?

I've got the Freddie desk because it went nicely with the colour scheme of my home office and I like the height of my monitors (I couldn't stand my old dual monitor mount system).

It did take quite a bit to get it assembled though and is difficult to move, so it depends on that circumstance as well.

squarepusher was the 740mm depth top an Ikea purchase, or custom from elsewhere ?
... agree as soon as you have a monitor+keyboard, even offset, the additional depth is vital.

( Ikea do not seem to sell any breakfast bar laminated tops which seem to typically be 900mm depth by 2m from Wickes and others. )

The 150cm x 72cm oak worktop desk I made is splitting across the middle glue joint under it's own immense weight. I stupidly ignored the 20cm maximum overhang specified on Worktop Express.
Others did warn in previous threads about these worktops bowing over time.
