New DGTeam Firmware & Website

Is it really worth the hassle of flashing?

It is no hassle at all, just download the version you need and install it via the router control panel, reboot and job done!

The latest updates have got my firewall rules working properly and the router "feels" snappier in the admin interface, also if you want to adjust your SNR margin to tweak your connection speed, you can do that too.....

So for 5 minutes work, it might be worth it for you, you might not notice any change.... but you wont know if you dont have a go!! :p:p:p

I never knew the DG934G v2 supported custom firmwares. Always thought it was only Broadcom chipset GT model that did.

Is there any screen grabs of the DGteam user interface, if different from Netgear default?

Code-cleanup on libdgteam.so, command, cgi, rc improving speed, & reducing memory usage.

sorry to bump an old thread

but can the DGTeam firmware on a 834GT be used as an adsl modem only? (without the routing settings)

im thinking of buying a netscreen to have a play with and though id install it on my network.

Have my O2 broadband from 834GT going into a netscreen then to a switch for my home network

i take it the netscreen with have IP routing on it?

The official firmware can be used as a modem only, the only reason to use the dg over that is tweaking the snr. If you dont need to do that just stick with the netgear firmware as the dg is based on an older version.

This pdf shows you how to do it with the official firmware, with the dg the modem option isn't hidden.
