New Dreamliner problem?

Can't be that major a problem if it didn't land at the nearest airport rather than the departure airport.

There is also ICE631 doing a couple of spins in the same place now, although that appears to be at the end of it's journey. I assume it's the standard place to dump fuel/wait?

Yup dumping fuel there/waiting for a slot in the arrival timetable and then it's coming into land.

Edit: Was on the news recently that the latest fire was for a battery problem perhaps they're landing them all again?

Well I assume it was a glitch that showed the plane continuing off the end/side of the runway?

There was a report today by the British Aviation Investigation Branch saying it was a problem with the battery on an emergency beacon, not related to the type of plane. The recommendation was to disable them in all planes. Not sure if that's a good idea considering I assume that's what the authorities use to find downed planes...

According to the Guardian, it returned to Boston airport after a mechanical indicator alert, what ever that might be.

Where are the dreamerliners physically constructed? Engine and body?

Most of it is made in the US, around 75% if I remember right. They are physically put together in Everett, Washington, USA. The engines made by Rolls Royce in Derby, UK. The GE engines are made in Mississippi and Alabama.

The first Comet hull loss was about 3 years after maiden flight. First battery issue with 787 was about 4 years after maiden flight.

but the thing designed to help find the plane can potentially cause a fire that might cause the plane to crash in the first place....some sort of causality loop created by Boeing so that they can never go bankrupt because of the dreamliner?
