Hello, in the next few days i will be adding a new ssd to my pc. I currently have 1 ssd with my operating sytem and some games on .Is it just a case of pluging it in and i will be able to write ton it or does the ssd still have to be formatted in some way...im not very good with these sort of things...cheers

Hey there, Neil.

Just as @koolpc has mentioned, you'd have to set it up, which includes: initializing and formatting the drive. Here's how to do that: How to initialize or write a signature to a secondary hard drive or Solid State drive in Windows and How to partition and format a hard drive on Windows and Mac OSX.
Note that the SSD will probably have a tool developed by its manufacturer in order for you to be able to manage it and enable/disable some of the features. I'd recommend that you check the website of the manufacturer or contact their customer support for more info on that.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.
