new drive, need to move everything...

Do you want to use it as a boot drive? If so then it becomes potentially more tricky as you will have to install your SATA drivers onto the IDE drive before ghosting but it should still work.

ah crap, how the hell do i do that lol, this is my first SATA drive. ive built systems with SATA but its easy when building them from scratch, just takes more time is all.

p.s. yup, i want it as the boot drive. gonna have my 120gig seagate barracuda as an external USB drive.

What motherboard do you have an which SATA controller are you connecting it to. If it's an nF4 one, it *should* work without drivers as nVidia SATA ports automatically default to IDE mode when no drivers are present.

I'm pretty sure there is an option in BIOS to allow IDE mode on the SATA ports, in which case you might not need the drivers but otherwise, you'll need to install the drivers and then ghost.
