I have just read this, can anyone tell me more? It is not instilling confidence as I have just recieved a new drive which coincidently ends in Y and I constantly have WMP updating it's media library before I can access music.
Quote from another site,
Models HD154UI/JP1 and HD154UI/Y are NOT designed to be used in Desktop but specifically made for use with Docking/Rack/Caddy Use Only, these are being sold cheap!
This clearly infers a performance drop or something, but what specifically?
I am not too happy with my purchase as it was advertised as HD154UI not model HD154UI/Y and as I have not suffered WMP having to update/IE add my music back each time I switch WMP on I can only assume this Y designation is in some part responsible?
