A22, a company formed to sponsor and assist with the creation of the Super League, has consulted with nearly 50 European clubs since October last year and developed 10 principles based on that consultation which underpin its plans for a new-look league.

They should be allowed to go for it. However, the clubs concerned should be barred from all FA / UEFA / FIFA competitions and never allowed back. The players should also be barred from representing their national teams.

Fans need to voice their displeasure at this much like they did the last iteration. We don't need it. We don't want it. European football, like International football should be a treat. An occasional highlight. Not something that becomes commonplace and mundane.

I don't want to be facing Barca, RM, AM, Juve, PSG every year. I don't want there to be more football than there is now.

Absolutely. Them jumping ship will be a catalyst. The Italians and Spanish will be all over it and then everyone crumbles to not miss out. I'd love to see the EPL worth crumble with the awful TV deals escalating that benefits no one excepts players and agents. I don't mind a permanent European league if the ones that play aren't in the epl.

Yes but it's successful because of all the reasons complained about in the other threads on Man City and spending. Take that spending away and we are back to a foreign league being the pinnacle or supposed pinnacle. Personally I'd take that but many many others think English players got better with all the imports.

So you want the quality of our league to drop?

Yeah agree, it will just water down the importance of CL & Europa for the sake of advertising revenue at its heart. Hope the FA respond in same way as La Liga and it dies a quick death.
Ps ... i like the Barca comment, only a week to go!
 
I'd be very surprised any logical thinking football fan would want it, I sure as he'll don't.

Leave leagues as they are, ones that need improving e.g. la liga, serie a etc just improve, the so called big teams jumping doesn't solve there issues

I would take that drop in quality to not have to have the current level of spending, to have a total wage cap. To not have ever increasing TV costs due to the rights getting more and more expensive. Which then knocks on to all out tv costs because even those not watching football are paying for the football.

Yeah I'd take a small dip in quality to rid us of state level or USA funding. But there's probably no way back now until the bubble bursts.
