Installing whole programs to SSD's is helpful for video editing and photo/video rendering programs but not games.. though many people do have Games SSD's.. I just don't see the benifit.

It improves loading times, especially in games where stuff is loaded on the fly like Skyrim, unless I'm mistaken?

That's comparing no SSD to having one. He's suggesting the exe lives on the SSD, the rest on the HDD which is a different setup entirely.
