New FM2 processor or new board/cpu combo?

Current board is an Fm2A75M

Would it be worthwhile sourcing an A8-9600 to replace the A8-5600K currently installed.
RAM I think is 8GB.

Just a desktop PC with a little photo / video editing. SSD for the main OS currently.

Google says the A8-9600 is AM4, not FM2.

The highest that board will support is A10-6700. Looking around is about £60.

I wouldn't bother spending anymore on a platform which is so old, save your cash and stick to what you have or upgrade to AM4 + 3200g

Anything current is going to use DDR4 memory. The board you linked will be using DDR3.

You could likely save some cash if you went with used parts but for new it would set you back a couple of hundred quid.
