New gaming computer 2K

Hi guys, thanks for the tips.

I've made this build, think its close to the end.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,496.62 (includes shipping: £14.70)

I changed the MSI board to asus one, i prefer asus and i dont mind spending a bit more for it. The SSD what do you say? I was also wondering the WD sn750.

The gpu i will go for the gaming trio with 3 fans.

Anything that i should worry about?

Regards

That psu is a bit overpriced. If you don't mind a semi modular unit then the Corsair TXM is priced well at the moment. Other cheaper alternatives are the Corsair RMx and Phanteks AMP.

I would go with the WD Blue SN550 in Danny's build if buying from ocuk.

That gpu is expensive compared to other models. The Gigabyte Windforce is better value at £449.99.

As for your question, an AIO is an All In One cooler like a Corsair H100i. You don't really need one anyway as they have more points of failure than an air cooler.

Will check the PSU

The SSD in dannys build has much lesser read/write than the ones i mention, any particular reason for the wd blue?

I dont know why but im not very confident using gigabyte, you think the 70 pounds arent worth it? The reviews i saw from the msi is that it very fresh gpu and good performance.

I was thinking that if i lower the gpu also i might put 2 TB ssd, budget is not a problem and i was expecting spending much more.

Maybe not, too expensive :)

An NVMe SSD doesn't make a huge difference anyway so it won't matter that the WD Blue has slower read/write speeds. Real world performance will be more or less the same. A faster read/write speed would be beneficial if moving large files around like when doing video editing etc.

I personally wouldn't spend an extra £70 on the MSI but up to you on that.

If you are working with a £2000 budget ? then you could consider upgrading your monitor to a 27" 2560 x 1440 165Hz like the Gigabyte Aorus screen below. A 2070 Super will perform well at 1440 resolution.

The Pixio PX7 Prime is also worth considering, I think it uses the same panel as the Gigabyte FI27Q and comes in at £400 if you shop around.

That read and write speed is only noticeable when transferring files to an equally fast drive, and only worth the money if you are doing transferring day in day out. Or if you do a bunch of video editing or use a lot of VMs. For example, an NVME SSD doesn't load a game 6 times faster than a SATA SSD. Not even twice as fast, despite the read and write speeds on the tin. So you're paying £50 more for speed that you won't see, or hardly use. The SN550 has TLC NAND, more durable than another NVME SSD (Intel 660P) you've been recommended with lesser quality QLC NAND, and can be found for £100.

So with your advices i have something ike this

I dont need a screen as i bought one couple months ago, 22 144hz 1080p, i dont much space on the table needs to be a smaller screen.

I dont know if anything more can be changed on the build, i can spend more money. In the case for example? As it is out of stock what is better than this case ?

I'm personally a big fan of the Meshify cases, I think they look great and they have fantastic airflow to boot.

I've also listed a couple of RGB cases that are decent within the same price range in-case you want that extra bling:

It's down to your preference ultimately, the cases you're looking at aren't what I'd personally choose but we all have our own tastes.

From a performance perspective you want something with a mesh front, tempered glass will block airflow to some extent. That said, the hardware you're planning on using doesn't exactly generate a ton of heat, so you should be fine regardless.

This CoolerMaster case has RGB fans at the front, but has cutouts so airflow should be better even though it isn't a mesh panel.
