I'm looking for a new 'gaming' keyboard and mouse for my new system I'm building.

I have chosen the Logitech G15 Keyboard as this seems the best out there, but wanted advice on mouses (Mice  )

I am looking at the logitech G5 2000dpi laser corded and the G7 2000dpi laser cordless

Now I know usually cordless is a no-go for gaming but has anyone got any feedback on the G7 as it looks well specc'd for gaming????

The G7 is excellent for gaming, high DPI, no lag and quick/easy to swap rechargeable batteries.

Like the OP im looking for a keyboard and mouse.

Im going to be getting the deathadder as well for a mouse. But you say a wired mouse is a must? i dont like wired ones so much as i find it constricts me.

But anyway, what keyboards would go well with a deathadder?

If its purely for gaming a wired mouse is a must. No question about it.

This mouse gets quite a lot of praise:

I'll second that. I have used the Logitech MX518 and the G5, both of which are very good mice. However the Razer DeathAdder is by far the best mouse i have had....
I also have the G15 Keyboard - cracking Keyboard... Especially when you download Game Applets and Mods.

Logitech G15 & Razer DeathAdder is an awsome combination... ;)

If its for gaming a wired mouse will be better than a wireless mouse.

I recently purchased a logitech MX3200 laser keyboard n mouse combo.
Coming from a wired logitech keyboard and a Razer Copperhead mouse I really cant tell any difference between the wired setup and my new wireless setup.

Been playing a lot of games and havent found any lag etc etc.

Ive got a MX Revolution and its an awesome mouse. A bit pricey but still very good. Especailly for gaming. And the wireless is not a problem.

If you have £100 maybe you could get a MX Air Mouse

Looks good but I have my wii-mote to 'motion control' web pages ;)

Looks like the G7 is being fazed out as its no longer on logitech' website...(unless I missed it  )

I'm leaning towards a wired mouse probably the G5... Any comments on the new version of it??

Those new G5's look pretty nice to be fair. I'm not too keen on them tho, I'm staying with my Copperhead forever! :P I've tried using a Deathadder and I'm not very fust on them either, as my hands are pretty small compared so certain peoples "immense" hand size, its hard to control them I find, and is more of a hand movement, compared to the Copperheads/Diamonbacks where its a sort of wrist movement. Excellent for awp flick shots if you know what I mean

Ive got an older Razerback the 1600dpi version and its by far the best mouse Ive owned I would defo recommend one!

The wire is really thin as well you wont even notice it!

The G7 has indeed been discontinued although some stores still stock it I believe. There is a theory that they will be replacing it with a newer version looking like the new G5 i.e. two side buttons.

I've got a G7 and it is a fantastic mouse but I'm not really a hardcore gamer at the moment so while I can't notice the difference between it and a wired mouse (Intellimouse V3.0 original) there might be enough of an issue to put off playing at the highest level. :)

Thanks for all responses, the Razer Copperhead (Deathadder has lower dpi and less buttons) and *new* G5 are top of my list.

....Off to find a store who stocks both to test the fit in my hand :)

G7 is a awsome mouse, only wireless mouse with no lag.

Logitec have discontinued it as they have a replacment on the way in the next few months.

but if you can get one get it!

They are lush!
