Hi Guys

Its been a while since Ive bought/built a computer, probably 8 or 9 years now so im a bit out of touch. I want to build a PC that will play all the latest titles decently anyway...ive looked through a lot of threads already and this below is what i have came up with. Im not a hardcore gamer, but i used to be back in COD4 and BF2, 2142, BC2 days. PC will also be used for just general stuff.
I need everything...including montor..gpu etc.

Couple of questions.....monitor and resolutions. Is 24in big enough? or should i go for a 27in 2560x1440 or stick to 1080?
If i go for the 27in 2560x1440, do i need to play games at that resolution and does playing at lower resolutions give a blurry effect like in the older days? (15 years since i bought a monitor.)
Is the curved monitors the way to go? or is flat best for gaming etc?

Should i be thinking about a sound card....or does the motherboards nowadays provide sufficient sound?

2 year warranty on the palit 3080ti is a joke £60 more will get you the zotac with a 5 year warranty if registered within 30 days otherwise 3 years.

With 3080ti I'd go 1000W , phanteks below only £10 more than the RM850(and that's the old version you have), and comes with 10yrs warranty. Seen the RM1000X (2021 version below for £140 now)https://www.tomshardware.com/uk/reviews/corsair-rm1000x-2021-power-supply-review/2
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-founders-edition/34.html...3080ti drawing 356w just by itself in gaming
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i7-12700k-alder-lake-12th-gen/20.html...and stress test power limit removed 12700 up to 348w
so with everything firing you could be drawing a lot of power, though most time not
I'd take the crucial P5P gen 4 over the 970 evo..cheaper too. Build over £3k, could go for a 2tb nvme..saw the 2tb SN850 yesterday for £265
The mobo you have in non wifi..you can get the wifi version for £219.95, but don't think ocuk sell it, but available elsewhere, or go for a more midrange board such as the tomahawk..they have better vrm's so run cooler, but more if you're putting in a 12900 rather than 12700

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £413.99 (includes shipping: £11.10)
