New GF - Cold winter night drawing in - date ideas please!

Hi everyone, been single for a few months and now started dating a new lady friend.

But as my bloody luck would have it winter is drawing in. So we can;t really stay outside for long as it get cold and windy. She lives in Birmingham and i am in London. when she comes down i'd like take her to interesting fun places but what beyond the usual?

We don't really do pubs or clubs. But there's only so many times you can go to the cinema/resturant route before it becomes dull. I know there musiums - art gallaries etc. but any cool ideas out there?

Ice Skating in general good idea! How about the Zoo?

London Zoo is generally outside, also a bit late for Kew Gardens as well, i would have to wait until the weather warms up again next year, althrough there's the London Aquieum!

I'm all for ice skating, a quiet bar with some live music just so you can chat in a nice atmosphere, cooking meals together,do you share any common interests such as rock climbing/playing games? museums, london tower/tussaudes?

The shopping thing i don't mind, as i spend most of my time trying to steer her and guide her to the hotter and tighter dresses. She's already wearing higher heels for me

I don't know what is worse, Man flees to Internet for advise on how to woo his lady partner, or that quoted posters wants pics of her .....

Oh jeez hahaha, she's woo'd ok? I'm just asking for tips on nice places to go off the beaten track. You like to sterotype the internet user as the typical sad, lonely, fat virgin living with his mum. What are you doing here then?

German market is great fun, lots of cheap strong beer, huge sausages,.. and huge foods in general!

Her way of dressing is way more fundamental and i don't think it can ever really be changed, unless something massive happens in her life.

I more talking about tweaking here and there to improve herself. She's already grown in confidance since going out with me as no one's really told her she's cute (had a pretty crap boyfriend for years) so she's willing to try more sexy stuff which in turn boosts her confidance further. But i'm careful to make sure she keeps it sexy/classy rather than slutty and she's enjoying the change

Completely agree. I like getting involved in shopping with my otherhalf, after all, you're the one who has to look at her afterwards, so you might as well have a say, so that she looks like how you want her to look. Honestly you'd be suprised how much girls like that
