Hi guys

I currently use

170 Opteron
2GB 3200 DDR2 Value
DFI Expert
X850 XTPE
19" Viewsonic TFT
Tagan 540W

I was thinking of upgrading to a 24" Dell 2407 and a 8800GTX possibly 2nd hand (going to try and get both for under 800)

The screen must be great for watching DVD's and general windows tasks, as well as the GFX for low level gaming such as CS 1.6, Dawn of War and possibly World of Warcraft (i think they support the High Res?) and I would like to be prepared for the new Unreal game that is coming out later in 2007 as well as futureproofing. Would my PC be really bottlenecked by the CPU?

Is the TFT/gfx I mentioned good for what I want it for?

Thanks

Totally agree with your choice of monitor... providing you can get it for a good price. I have the Dell 2407WFP (got it on TWO for £439.99 + VAT) and I personally think it's a stonking monitor for the money - all the connectivity you could want and a great display too.

I wouldn't skimp on the graphics for a monitor of this size, especially as you can now get a 8800GTX for under £300 + VAT. I guess you'll be lucky to find one second hand though.

Prices for the 8800GTX keep falling by the week so I'd hold on for as long as you can at the moment but I'd grab the Dell monitor when you find it for a decent price.
