Cheers.

Just updated all my clients (GPU and linuxSMP) without any problems. Haven't installed the new drivers yet.

The big advantage I can see is that they have released the GPU client as a console version, which you can install as a service :) This means you can log your machine off and save some CPU cycles.

I haven't updated my Linux SMP clients yet, what's the easiest way of doing it?

If you've got Samba set up then you can copy & paste the new files in Windows Explorer.

Updated, thanks. The service install on the console client wouldn't work at all for me so I'm still on the systray.

Staying with 177.41 drivers unless new ones have a performance advantage (if it ain't broke and all that..:p)

Nice output for one machine :D

Ok

Main rig:
Q9450 (Not sure on the OC yet but something at least ;))
8800GTS

Media Centre
E6600 (At stock until I get my water cooling loop for GPU and CPU for main rig)
Possibly 8600GT depending on temps

Its odd though, whilst some people have increased their output significantly, the team PPD has stayed about the same over the last month or so. I would have expected it to go up by quite a bit :(

Haven't really noticed to be honest, not been watching the team output trying to get my own sorted what with all these problems.

Shame I can't borg my g/f's 9800GTX :(

DO EET NOW! :D Tell it you need it for important scientific research (and to maximise your epeen :p)

I've had quite a few problems with using the client and playing games, but I keep mine at 100% permanently. I just pause it when I want to play TF2 :)

Your GF runs a 9800GTX? Sounds like the kind of GF I need :D

I think it's stable with gaming, though I'm not sure how it would cope re: performance. Try running it at 50% to start with, hopefully shouldn't get too hot or interfere with games, and still worth 3000ppd or so!

lol

I haven't installed it yet but yes :D

Photoshop is supposed to be tapping into the GPU for a serious boost. Specifically it's Adobe's "Creative Suite Next" (or CS4), code-named “Stonehenge" - Source tgdaily.

I was thinking 50% it's just I dont want it sounding like the PC is trying to take off.

But stability when playing games is the issue as she wont want to be messing around starting and stopping it.
