New GPU client and drivers

Never did get the sys tray version to work properly so now trying the console version to see how that goes.

All I need now is for ATi to pull their finger out and issue some proper drivers for the HD 4870
 
Nope console version won't work for me either :mad:

Got it up to about 50% complete on a WU then had to shut-down PC as going out.

When I switched it back on, tried to run it again (assuming it would carry-on where it left off) but no - all I get is an error message saying "Bad argument received" then it crashes out :(

Oh well I'll stick to Boinc instead - at least that runs with no problems.

Lol. Boinc isn't in beta testing. If you download a beta client you have to kinda assume that it will crash. That's why we beta test.

If you want to fold but not have to worry about it crashing then fold with the released clients :)

I think it's stable with gaming, though I'm not sure how it would cope re: performance. Try running it at 50% to start with, hopefully shouldn't get too hot or interfere with games, and still worth 3000ppd or so!

ok when gaming here, if its a really gfx heavy game like cod4 or grid then i pause, anything else i just set it to 50% and lowest priority.
