They "appreciate authenticity", yet pay off Earnhardt Jr to say he thinks Polyphony are the best in the business, despite him playing solely in iRacing championships where they actually have a realistic physics engine and customisable peripherals :D WOOH! GT5 bumper cars!!!

Hence all the forums lighting up when ever a trailer is released. This will be the biggest game on PS3. Even those that moan about will still buy it, you'd only be hurting yourself by missing out. I wish it was out aalready, PS3 hasn't got a decent driving game, but I still don't mind waiting. As long as TDU2 doesn't beat it to release:D
 
Seems nothing brings out trolls more than Gran Turismo, not sure why is it jealousy? Scared? Concerned they will have to find another game to troll when its out? :D
Im sure people would rather have a game lacking in features, polish, cars, tracks etc etc, than to wait another year or how long it takes PD to make GT5 the best racing game it can be.:rolleyes:
 
we will still end up buying it no matter how annoyed we are, it's polyphony digital who lose out when they spend this much time on one game.

I see what you are saying, but 5 years between editions is a bit too long, although it is obviously going to be an awesome seller for Sony.

Perhaps 3 years is a good development cycle, clearly 2 years have caused T10 to drop some features and be rushed to market (I'm not knocking FM3, just we all know a little more dev time would have been nice).. 5+ years is just a little too far the other way!

I mean, 3D could have been an update feature, and surely some thing could have been done after the fact, or in a quickly developer GT6?
 
hmm, I personally dont understand why the public gets a say in how long a development cycle should be. Yes i guess its the public thats getting the end product and they should keep us happy. But it's not like we have any clue what's actually taking so long, I'd personally wait another 2 years aslong as what we get is good.

People are too impatient, Its a game, being made for us. We wait as long as we have to.

Its not like we get to tell movie producers how long they're allowed to take in producing a movie. Same principal, its ready when its ready
 
Turn 10 didnt even acknowledge FM3 development till E3 which was approx only 4 months prior to release.
Yes the game may of been in development much less than GT5 but people constanly moan when P Digital do not release enough info or announce a release date. Are people moaning so much with whats happening with the 3rd installment of HL2?

GT just seems to get it worse in this respect...

Delays are annoying but Sony are to blame for many things and not just P Digital.
Sony decided to release the PSP version before the PS3 which wasnt originally what was to happen, resources and developmen would have been used from GT5 effectively increasing the dev time needed.

Further things like "3DTV", "PS3 Eye" and even rumoured "Move" support all have to increase the dev time as well.

All speculation....

No firm date is announced, its as simple as that, rumours of Sumer being a possibility and with more rumours that it may be as late as Autumn /Winter.
Weve waited this long bit more wont kill us and tbh when I think back to FM3 release almost 6 months now it has flew in aint it.

Look on the bright side GT5 will be out before GT6

i just hope they fix the multiplayer....i want lobbies with friends(if i chose) and not randoms who enjoy driving the wrong way around a track.
 
Well I've been waiting to buy a PS3 for GT5 to come out. So far I've saved a small fortune as I'm sure my first PS3 would have died by now and I'd be on my 2nd. By the time this comes out I'll probably have a 250gb PS3 for £199 instead of a 40gb PS3 for £399 :)

As for people moaning about it taking so long, I'm glad. I'm sick and tired of half arsed, buggy games being released for £40+

This game won't just be the first full RRP game I've bought for ages but I'll actually buy a console aswell just to play it.

Why don't you do yourself a favour and buy a 360 and Forza 3 in the mean time? It's a great game and a good way to get your petrolhead fix whilst you wait for GT5 :)
