Hi, all. my spec is as sig and my graphic card is not really good enough any more. The tax man has given me a nice cheque as i was overcharged last year, and I want to buy a new card with it.
I was thinking of a gf9 upon release, as I don't really feel they are worth the money otherwise as they are soon outdated (I am not a rich student:p). I have considered a 8800 series but they hae een out for a long time (in graphics card terms) and surely they are to be replaced soon?

Any confirmed release of the 9800 series?? if so any prices??
All google reveals is info on some 9800x2, but isnt this just a twin cored card like the 7950x2 was?
(FAO OCUK staff) When will you have pre-orders running??

thanks:)

late march is when i understand we will start to see 9 series...

if i was ypou grab a ouk 512mb 8800gt and save to upgrade son :-D

Matt.

First of all, change your sig. Its Golden Emperor International Limited - GEIL. - sorry

I think if you want a card now then the 8800gt would be the best buy. The GTX is better but not sure it's worth the extra £ at the moment. As you say, they have been out a long time. I think the 9800's will be a lot of money when they are released. £400+ ? I think if you got an 8800gt it would be a good few months before you couldn't get £100 for it to sell on
