I know i may be slated for this or cause trouble between ati and nvidia fans but what card should i go for to wack in my new rig?

a) Leadtek GeForce 7900 GT / MSI GeForce 7900 GT / OcUK GeForce 7900 GT/ XFX GeForce 7900 GT

or

b) PowerColor ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB

basically a 7900GT or a X1800XT.

If a go for the X1800XT should i shell out for a Artic Cooling Accelero X2 Cooler (X1800/X1900 Series) as well?

Depends on your budget mate. I have used both ATi and nVidia and I think they're fantastic cards.

I'd get the 7900series in this case. Or if you can streatch get a X1900XT....

£240 ish thats why i was looking around thoses 2 cards.

I think i may go wit the 7900GT but im still unsure though about which card would give me the best performance.

If i went for the 7900GT which manufacturer would be the best to go for?

XFX has they're good cards. I don't know much about them, but the majority choose those. But the 7900GT is a good card.

X1800 XT is faster, and is a fantastic overclocker, only problem is the x1800's produce more heat, and need more power, so if thats a problem get the 7900 GT as its still a cracking card, but if none of that worries you the get the x1800 XT, fantastic cards, not sure about the cooler as i think the x1800's are very quiet, i can hardly hear mine when gaming, all i can hear is a very light hum. :)

ill go for the X1800XT and get a Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 Cooler as well, to cut down the noise and heat.
