Need a new card, i have some 7900gt's xxx's in sli at the moment which are giving me loads of grief (usuall XFX Grief)

Want to go back to a single card, was thinking of a 8800gts but which memory amount model ?

Currently running

Asus P5N32-SLi Deluxe
Pentium 640 3.2, 2meg cache (775)
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-5400C4
Seasonic S12 600W
Samsung SpinPoint 80gig Sata
2x 256Mb XFX 7900GT Extreme's in SLI
Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower
Belinea 102030W 20.1" Widescr

I game at 1600x1050

So what do you guys reckon ?

Can you link the specific card for pls if you dont mind, i presume this would be adequate and also an improvement over the 2x7900gt xxx's ?

I could even possibly strech to 1 of the cheaper gtx's ?

all cards are built in the same factory, so it depends on what software, warranty and assories you want and which company you have the most faith in

you may want to get a new cpu as well as you may bottleneck your 8800GTS and a new MB if required.

a C2D and a overclock to 3GHz will be sufficient

both cards are a good choice, the ocuk one doesnt come with anything, the point of view one, i have no idea what comes with it. the 8800GTX is slightly better then the 8800GTS without taking into account customer support and the bits and bobs you may get .

both the 8800GTS and 8800GTX easily beats the 3870, but im not sure about a price to performance ratio comparison though

Yeh, it's hard to pick what offers more, the gtx is fast but £111 for the xt is hard to get away from, it makes crossfire nearly worth while, witch is no mean feet
