New Graphis Card

Ah yes, if its the GLN then it sounds like it may be a half-decent unit. This review mentions it as basically the same internally as the FSP Epsilon FX600-GLN and the FSP Optima Pro OPS600-80GLN.

May I ask how many PCI-E connectors the PSU has coming out of it?

Im being a complete novice here so do you mean the connectors off the motherboard

I'm referring to the PCI-E power connectors (they are 6pin (3x2pin) or 6+2 pin) that come from the power supply. They are needed to connect to the graphics card directly, so it is provided with enough power.

Hi

received my new card today - Geforce GTX 470. The drivers are uptodate but now im having problems when playing games. I get pixilated screens along with stutter then the game crashes. like with my last card i was getting graphic issues when on the desktop, this seems to be just when playing a game. is there any settings I need to configure or something else. faulty card maybe?

Thanks

Hi

playing crysis 2 on high and wow on good. i even changed it to ultra and extreme on crysis and it runs and looks great but then get the pixilated issue and crash,
could there be any settings on the card that needs to be amended?

Have you plugged in both power connections into the GTX 470 from the PSU?

Also, have you updated to the most recent nvidia graphics drivers?

Hi

I found out its overheating, I have decent enough cooling and have run the pc with the case off in a cold room etc and still getting overheating. Im gonna replace it. Not sure of the temp but it was in the red when I checked it after the crash.
