My F650 grips are moving around on the bars which is dangerous and also annoying as the throttle grip sticks open sometimes.

Need a new set of grips, I have heated grips on the bike but they are not connected to anything just trailing wires behind the headlight  can I check these are working by seeing if a current can pass through, I assume a broken set would like a toaster / fire / bulb / kettle not pass a current through.

Also has anyone changed there's to differnent types or shall I get some standard BMW ones, I have hand guards and winter gloves so not really worried about heated grips

Tar :)

Pick up this months copy of FastBike, they're giving away grips :p.

I changed mine from standard grips to heated grips before the start of winter, and I've just got around to changing to normal grips again. I was finding the glue had worn away on my left grip, so was slipping a bit, right grip was fine. These FastBike grips though are much tighter, and took a bit of effort to get on, so not to worried about them slipping around.

The ones on the cover of Fast Bikes look like very simular to Rental Road/Race grips. Great grips but do get a bit dirty after a while. Oh, and the Fast Bikes ones have there daft logo on them but I suppose they are free

I was actually looking to buy then Rental ones, so was quite happy when I saw the copy of FastBike. I Don't mind their Logo on them, I just see it as a description of the bike :p.

Haha I got the Fastbikes ones too. Mine were a little tattered from a few trackday offs and were heavily glued on one side of the grip but not on the other. So I had to cut one of them off.

Saw the freebie ones so had to go for it :) They are a very tight fit so not much chance of them twisting! I used water to ease them on and fitted them upside down so the FastBikes logo is hidden underneath! Quite like them tbh, will see how long they last!

Got my fastbike grips, they look quite nice, allthough I'm going to try and get the heated grips working first.

For glue for grips, apparantly hairspray is sufficient

They are basically the equivalent to renthal soft grips, though be warned they dont last that long if you do a lot of riding, though they are free :D

I mean compared to proper ranthal grips, they even tell you in the mag they are cheap and nothing on the real stuff.
I think im going to put mine on the SV!
