new hard drive advise

hi,

i got a new hdd and im going to format it, now i always used to just full format back with windows xp, but now im on vista it doesnt seem to offer anything but quick format.

this is a brand new drive, whats the best thing to do with them?

Full format is exactly the same as quick + an error check, and if you want to check for errors it's better to use the manufacturer utility.
