Is the ram identical to the ram that is already in there and why did you need to install drivers for the router is it not connected via a RJ45 cable? If so there is no need to install any drivers for it

no one is judging you.. but, if you are looking for assistance its probably helpfull if people can understand what the problem is.

right well it could be a driver issue
i take it you got the windows 7 drivers to install the usb dongle yes ? what make and model is the wifi dongle :?

could be a bad update that did it as well

Normally ram will BSOD the pc and crash it etc if it is bad or wont post a screen at all etc (sometimes giving a beep code)

Can you not press F8 as it starts and choose safe mode and see if it boots If it does do a system restore to before you installed anything other than the OS and then install one thing ie the usb wifi dongle then restart see if alls well then do a few updates (only inmportant ones) and also get the MOTHERBOARD drivers from the motherboard makers website etc and install them and restart after every one as then you can pinpoint the problem IF it fails again

Installed netgear drivers, restarted and it booted up fine im going to install more drivers now.

it was all fine and then installed windows updates and blue screened while restarting? i dont get that, help?

right before you install updates install ALL motherboard drivers including graphics drivers THEN do the updates

If you look in event manager in control panel it will tell you what went wrong or give you an idear anyhows

Control panel,> administrative tools >, Event manager

what about event manager does it show anything in there

i would do a reinstall and when you get to the hard drive choose screen delete the partition and remake it and make sure to format it. It should make a 100mb partition for restore files this is normal then when reinstalled install the usb drivers for the dongle then get the latest drivers from the mobo makers website then install updates and see what happens

thanks and it says kernel power system failed to reboot due to system not responding or losing power etc. ill reinstall then
