New hard Drive Help

Hi there.

I got a new Samsung 1tb hard drive today.

I fitted the drive fine, and it is detected properly in the Bios.

I went into Disk management and it is detected there properly.

I try to format the drive, but it says it is media write protected, I try to create a new simple volume, but it says it has not been initalized, so i right click on the drive, but there is no option to initalize.

Any ideas

ps. Im running Vista 64bit

Sorry, I found the Initalize option, I was right clicking on the wrong area
