New hard drive

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I ordered the Seagate 3tb drive from Overclockers on Monday and received it today. I put it into my N40L which did not work, the hard drive constantly makes a weird noise and is not detected by Windows Home Server.

I have put it into my computer, the same noise is still present and it is not detected by Windows 8. I have attached a link of the noise below but I think it may be a faulty drive, any help would be appreciated.

Does the BIOS see it?

Can you see it in the disk management section of windows?

Not showing in BIOS (on server) or in UEFI (on computer) or in disk management, sounds like there's a fault with the hard drive itself

Try a new SATA cable and a different SATA power connector?

Yeah tried different cables on the computer, I cannot try different ones on the server as the drives just slot into the bay. Just downloaded SeaTools for Dos and ran that, still no luck

Yeah I think it is. Any idea on how long it will take to RMA with OC? I can't RMA directly with Seagate as it is OEM.
