new hard drives needed...

Current hard drive is getting a bit small (200 gig) so want to get a new setup.

Quite tempted to have a play with a raid setup, but would like some advice.

got an nforce 4 motherboard, with onboard raid, and sata 2, so was going to get 4 (!) sata 2 disks and run them in raid 0, with my external hard drive for backup (nothing mission critial will be stored on the disks on this pc)

what 4 hard drives would you recommend for best speed (database usage and gaming.

Appreciate any suggestions....

The fastest hard drives around that are SATAII (and Raptors are SATA plus rather expensive) would be the Seagate 7200.10s, fast and reliable.

Yep, those are the ones, the smallest in the range are the 200gb versions so you may wish to consider them depending on your budget.
