New HD, format in PC or External?

Hi just bought a Samsung F4 2TB for use in a external USB HD case.

Is it best to format (NTFS) physically attached to the computer via sata, or is it ok to do it via USB in it's external case.

Or does it make no difference.

It makes no difference.

Presumably it will be easier to do it connected with USB.

Cheers, I have done it plugged into a external HD case.

Am I best choosing 'quick' format on a brand new drive

Use quick format.

A full format will take a long time.
