new hd gaming setup

im looking into buying another wd 80gb sata ii drive to put in raid 0, i also wanna get a 74gb raptor to impove game/loading performance.

should i

1. put xp/music on the raid, games on the raptor
2. put both xp and games on the raptor and use the raid for music and movies

its just i have a lot of music on here i dont want to lose. and i heard raid0 gets messed up a lot

im going to put the os on the raid, games on the raptor and music on a seperate hdd. iv never had a hdd fail on me before. hope it stays that way.
