I bought a new Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA-II from OcUK, along with everything else to make a new build (including an OCZ Agility 3 SSD which has Windows now installed on it). However the HDD isn't being recognised at all, either in Windows or in the BIOS.
The HDD and SSD are powered on the some lead, though I've switched them round to no avail, and I've also plugged the SATA lead into a different port on the motherboard (Asus Sabertooth Z77).
It's hard to tell but I don't think the drive is spinning.
Is it likely the hard drive is DOA (and therefore in need of RMA) or is there something else I can do to test it?
