hi guys

decided to buy a new hdd or sdd for my new gaming rig.

im looking at eather :

Crucial RealSSD M4 64GB £83.99 inc VAT
or
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache £91.99 inc VAT

i allready have 2x F3 1TB SpinPoint F3's running in this system.

question is do i get the ssd and go with Smart Response Technology ?
or
get Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB and go with raid 0 wit 2 drives and 1 for storage.

this rig is really for 95% gaming 5% video editing for fraps.
my games are all steam and Origin bassed so im not at all worried about back ups.
theres nouthing in this system i scared to lose if you no what i mean.
any video or documents are all ways kept on a couple of externals.
and yes my system suports Smart Response Technology.

i52500k
asus z68 v
8g0 mem
2x Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB
1x maxtor 500 gb with os instaled
win 7 64bit

New HDD or SSD ?
We can't answer that question for you mate
As a small SSD and a Harddrive really for two totally different uses

As a 64GB SSD is going be only big enough to use as your main OS drive

The way i would setup it up is

64GB m4 SSD for windows & apps
1TB for your steam games
1TB for your videos/storage etc

exactly were i was heading but thourt ide throw Smart Response Technology into the mix
to see what outhers thourt.
the reason i only chose 64GB SSD as aposed to a 120 0r 128 was because i cant see how for gaming ide need it.
