New HDD won't show...

Ahoy hoy.

I've just bought a new 1TB Samsung SATA drive to accompany my existing 320GB Barracuda however Windows 7 isn't seeing it although it's visible in device manager.

Is there anything I can do? My other IDE drives show up when I plug them in however the Sammy isn't.

My BIOS and device manager can both see/detect the thing, what's going wrong??

go to 'computer management' (type it in search box). Then click disk management. You should see it there then format it
