thinkin of gettin new harddrive, needs to be 250 gb or more, SATA nothin special, just need to know its reliable

also, does the Abit IP35-E mobo have ide ports, if so how many cuz its dosnt state if it has or not, i think i see 1 port on the pic

It has one PATA port. If you want a 250 GB drive the Seagate 7200.10 is the choice for you. IF you want a bit larger the WD 500 GB AAKS model is the best value in terns of GB per pound.

ah it does have one pata then :/ so the old ide hardware is slowly bein pushed out after all its years of loyal service.

Not so much. The difference between 2 & 8 is more noticable than 8 & 16. There's a law of diminishing returns when it comes to cache sizes.
