Hey,

I'm looking at getting 3-4TB drive (maybe 2)
What one should I be looking for?

I won't be using it as my OS drive, as I have an SSD for that - it will just be used for my Steam library and other files. Is it best to go for a 'Black' drive, or would a green suffice?

If I go with green, I could get 2 - black, just one.

I don't leave my computer on 24/7, but it is on quite a bit throughout the weekend and after work. I also never shut down, it is always on standby.

thanks

Green = cheaper, quieter, less power
Black = faster

Drives that size are typically used for long-term storage, for which Green drives are designed. You'll probably find game loading times will be a bit lower with a Black drive but whether that's worth double the cost is up to you.

Of course, unless the data is all cloud-based anyway, you'll want two so you have a backup.

Thanks, went with the 4tb black. Not so concerned about backups, it's only Steam games that I can re-download. All important files will be backed up on my NAS
