ok guys i need some help ive just got 2 500gb wd blacks as im upgrading from a single 160gb what would be the easiest way to transfer everything from the 160 to the 500

Are you wanting to transfer data or an operating system?

If it's just data then you can plug in both drives at once to copy it over.

You can just use a drive image copy, as theres a feature in Vista/7 that allows you to do that.

Though what I'd do, is back up your data onto one drive, then do a clean install- windows works a lot faster than if you just do a image copy of the disk.

i just did a fresh install gunna get the files off the old hdd tomorrow thanks for the help
