Getting fed up with my 2 x 74gb raptors they are perfectly fine but im going for silence now. Also got 2 x 120gb Seagates too.

The Raptors are currently in Raid 0, with Vista and my Progs on.
The Seagates as 2 standalone SATA drives.

Im think about putting the Seagates in Raid 0 for my Vista and Progs (240gb)and then getting a 500GB for storage.

If i change this out to a 500GB Segate will i notice a performance difference.

Can somebody advise me on the best setup of my HD's for performance.

Many thanks

The 500gb Seagate (or any of the newer drives) should be faster than your existing 120gb hard drives because of advances in drive technology.

If you want to use your existing drives in Raid0 then there is no harm in it but I might be tempted to keep them as standalone drives and use the new drive as the boot drive.
